We offer a range of sensors that can be linked to the awning motor configuration. Based on current trends, the most popular and recommended add-on is the wind sensor. As the name suggests, a wind sensor detects the wind speed that the awning is subjected to, and retracts the awning cassette in case of high winds, to reduce the chance of damage to both the awning mechanism and your property. Sensors talk to the motor via radio signals that work on a rolling code, in the same manner as the transmitters – this allows for a wireless connection meaning the sensor can be placed at the optimum location.
The Caribbean Blinds system is designed for quick installation, typically completed within a few hours. It’s versatile, with fewer components than most alternatives, and is available in both manual and electric.

All of our pergolas are bespoke, made to measure to the perfect dimensions to suit your space and therefore the cost varies significantly depending on the model, specification (size, hardware, colour etc) along with any options (lighting, heating, side screens etc).

Permitted development rights usually allow for the installation of aluminium pergolas and awnings at the back of residential properties without the need for planning approval.
There are a few exceptions, though, such as if your property is situated in a conservation area, green belt, or area of outstanding natural beauty (AONB), is listed, or has had the right to development removed (usually in historic areas to preserve the local character).
In addition, there are size restrictions for pergolas under approved development. These restrictions differ depending on whether the pergola is attached to the property as a lean-to or freestanding structure, and they cap the height at 2.5 or 3 metres when it is within 2 metres of the boundary. Additionally, the structure shouldn’t occupy more than 50% of the outdoor space.

Providing your electric garage door has a Somfy motor, we can pair the home automation system to operate with your garage door also. We keep Somfy motors in stock should you wish to upgrade your garage door motor to be compatible.
